Please print out this document and also this document and bring them to our first class. We will do a big review of all the important things we learned last quarter and will add some new elements also. We will use a new textbook "Debuts" by Siskin, Williams, Field. You are not required to purchase the book but if you decide to do so please make sure you get the 2nd edition. It's quite old by now (from 2007 or so) and you can find a slightly used copy at a very good price (around $10) if you shop around, click here for some examples. This textbook is accompanied by a film (see below). Please watch carefully the first 3 minutes and 40 seconds. Pay attention to the vocabulary used. We will talk about the scene (in french) and will complete some activities based on it. 1. Please study the new vocabulary on pages 108 - 109 in the textbook.
2. Study the conjugation of the irregular verb "faire" on page 116. 3. If you don't have the textbook, please print out pages 98 - 101. 1. Please review the "expressions avec avoir" and complete the exercises on pages 95 - 96.
