Homework for July 19

Please complete exercises on the new handout (you can find it below) to further practice the conjugation of -er verbs. Review the possessive adjectives on page 45 in chapter 2 or in more detail here. Finally, please translate the following sentences from English to French paying attention to the conjugation of the verb "avoir" and the expression "il y a". You might find the bad English sometimes helpful to translate into French ;-)

1. I need to go to the hospital.
2. We need to speak with a doctor.
3. Do you intend to travel in France in (the) summer?
4. We intend to arrive Thursday evening with the train.
5. They don’t intend to stay more than two days.

Homework for July 18

On the "pages 25 - 77" handout please complete "Activité, A Canal 7" on page 43, and exercise B on page 45. In class we have already completed activities A and B on page 49 and activities A and B on pages 53 and 54. With this we reviewed the verb être, the -er verbs and the adjectives.

On the "cahier pages 18 - 79" please start with exercise A in the middle of page 18, do exercise B and read the paragraph on page 19. Do the same on page 36. These exercises are based on a film that we started to watch. Those of you who missed class and didn't see the movie episodes will have to do some guesswork or skip some questions. No problem! You will catch up in no time.
